Raiders fans know that their favorite team isn't very good this year. They don't need to be reminded of it. But during the Cardinals win over the Raiders in Oakland yesterday afternoon, injured Arizona defensive end Darnell Dockett decided to remind them anyway.
With very little time remaining in the game and the Cardinals poised to come up with a victory, Dockett used one of his team's whiteboards to create a sign for the Raiders fans behind Arizona's bench. That sign said "Worst Team in NFL" and pointed out that the Raiders were about to fall to 0-6 on the season. You can see the sign in the photo above—and take another look at it below:
Dockett later explained that he made the sign because Raiders fans were throwing coins and ice at the Cardinals bench during the game:
It was a funny idea. But we get the feeling that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will not be laughing when he gets wind of this. And we also get the feeling that a fine could be coming for Dockett sometime this week.
