Giants' Larry Donnell Lost His Fantasy Football Matchup Last Week Because He Benched Himself

Larry Donnell may have played well last week, but his fantasy football team suffered in the process.

It was a bittersweet week for Larry Donnell. On one hand, Donnell put himself on the map with a breakout performance against the Washington Redskins, hauling in seven passes for 54 yards and three touchdowns. And that's all great, except for one thing. Donnell chose to start Vernon Davis over himself in his fantasy football Week 4 matchup and because of that decision, he lost by 10 points. “Would’ve won if I played me,” Donnell told NorthJersey.com on Wednesday. “During the game, I’m like, ‘Really?’ That’s the honest truth.”

Honestly, there were probably plenty of people who would've gone with Davis over Donnell with no hesitation, prior to last Thursday's performance. But, if we were playing in the league, we would always start ourselves. So, yeah, Donnell, you kinda, sorta messed up. Sorry.
