Arian Foster Rips NFL for Thursday Night Football With the Texans Set to Face the Colts This Thursday

The Texans are going to partake in a Thursday Night affair with the Colts and Arian Foster is none too pleased about it.

In three days, the Houston Texans will host the Indianapolis Colts at NRG Stadium and Arian Foster is none too pleased about it. In the past, Foster has vent his frustrations over Thursday Night Football, explaining that the weekday contest isn't safe for the players in the NFL. This time around, the 28-year-old running back has taken aim at the league's desire to solely get more bang for their buck.

“I don’t know a player that likes it,” Foster said via the Houston Chronicle. “I really don’t know a fan that likes it, either. I think it’s just the league’s way of trying to generate more revenue.”

“They emphasize concussions when they start getting hit with lawsuits and they care about the players’ safety but Thursday Night Football is putting every player on the football field in danger,” he added.

From an entertainment standpoint, this year's slate of Thursday night contests have been borderline unwatchable with teams losing by an average of 28.8 points. The NFL may need to rethink this whole Thursday thing when the season comes to an end, but until then players, like Foster, will need to grin and bear it. What are your thoughts? Should they continue to have these games in 2015? Let us know in the comments section.
