It's still very, very early in the college football season, but this year is already shaping up to be a wild one. On Thursday, in their first game in the post-Johnny Manziel era, No. 21 Texas A&M defeated No. 9 South Carolina in rather convincing fashion, 52-28, with much of the credit due to sophomore quarterback Kenny Hill who threw for 511 yards to go along with three touchdowns. But enough about that game. Did you see everything that happened in last night's contest between Syracuse and Villanova

Usually, a 'Cuse vs. 'Nova matchup is an epic affair on the basketball court, but this time, the gridiron had its share of dramatics. In the second quarter, Orange quarterback Terrel Hunt was going down after getting wrapped up by the legs. Then, Wildcats linebacker Dillon Lucas swooped in and delivered a late hit which Hunt wasn't too fond of and responded by throwing a left hook at his helmet.

Hunt was ejected from the game.

Eventually, the game needed to be decided in overtime. After both teams hit a field goal on their respective possessions, the contest went into a second OT and that's where things got crazy. With the game tied up 20, Syracuse took a chance and successfully executed a fake field goal on 4th and goal at the 1-yard line to open up a 27-20 lead.

Villanova responded by scoring a touchdown on their possession, but when they decided to go for two—instead of just trying to tie it up at 27—they got stuffed at the line of scrimmage.

What. A. Game.
