Much-maligned NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sat down this morning with University of Texas coach Charlie Strong to discuss Strong’s attention-getting “Core Values” system that has led to nine players being thrown off the team so far.
The five values are nothing outrageous or seemingly difficult to follow: honesty, treating women with respect, no drugs, no stealing and no weapons. One would have to assume that Goodell is interested in finding out how to make rules, and how Strong actually gets people to follow them.
Perhaps the owners should cut out the middle man and just give Strong the commissioner gig?
