With a recent poll declaring that 85% of Newcastle fans want him sacked, Alan Pardew is probably the Premier League's most unpopular manager.

Now a group of Newcastle United fans plan to step up their action with a campaign – funded by fellow supporters – that aims to "remove Alan Pardew from his post".

The protest group, branded as Sack Pardew, has raised £593.43 at the time of publishing. The group, which stands at well over 100 members, says that donations will be used for promotion material that includes "banners, billboards, flags leaflets and/or other methods of applying public pressure to Alan Pardew at and around Newcastle United matches."

The only campaign from Sack Pardew so far has been a push to get fans from all over the world to hold the same anti-Pardew message up for a photo opportunity.

Pards actually turned the campaign back on itself at this year's Monaco Grand Prix.

Despite finishing fifth in his first full season at the club, Pardew and Newcastle have been on something of a downward spiral since and lost eight of their last ten league games last season.

Now, he's more remembered for headbutts...

Provoking other managers...

3.

And calling Manuel Pellegrini a "f***ing old c***".

4.

At least life in the Toon isn't dull.
