Today, Alexei Ramirez is a broken man. During last night's White Sox-Mariners game, reliever Yoervis Medina took the soul of poor Ramirez. Medina, who's averaging more than a strikeout per inning as one of the Mariners' best relievers, unleashed an 86 MPH breaking ball from hell. According to FanGraphs, Medina throws a curveball 32.8 percent of the time, and in 0-2 counts, hitters are only batting .094 against him.
Ramirez was likely to fail against Medina, but the level of destruction to his knees couldn't have been foreseen. Homie turned into a pile of Jell-O real quick, real f*cking quick boy.
