It appears Vince Young’s NFL comeback has permanently been put on hold, after it was announced today that the 31-year-old will be returning to the University of Texas to work in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement.  The DDCE, where Young will be an officer, is a development program that seeks to tackle educational challenges to first-generation students and students from low-income environments. Young had a brief six-year run in the NFL, which can be described as inconsistent at best, despite the fact he was named 2006 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year with the Titans. There were high hopes for Young after he had one of the greatest collegiate seasons ever back in 2005, leading the Longhorns to a National Championship and passing for over 3,000 yards in the process. Good luck in the next phase, Vince.
