Is it his back, or is it something else? Whatever the reason, those hoping to see Tiger Woods in the hunt for the PGA Championship this weekend will be sorely disappointed.

Woods, currently ranked No. 10 in the world, shot 74 in each of his first two rounds and missed the cut at the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club. For Woods, it marks another step in his continued fall from golf's elite, and he is still looking for his first Major championship win since the 2008 U.S. Open.

Woods has only missed 12 cuts in his entire career, but after withdrawing from the WBC Bridgestone last weekend it became pretty clear that he was not operating at 100 percent. That certainly showed over these past two days, and with the injuries mounting it’s fair to wonder if Woods will ever get back to the top of the sport.

Because he has now failed to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs, Woods won’t play on the PGA tour again until November at the earliest.
