Football managers and rappers have more in common than you think. The touchline is home to inflammatory gestures, expletives and headbutts (sometimes), proving that some of the beautiful game’s uglier characters aren’t afraid to hog the spotlight and start some beef.

In a dizzying leap of logic, we imagined what would happen if Premier League managers settled their differences in the recording booth and produced some new material for the fans to belt out of the terraces on a matchday. We’ve matched up seven managers with some of hip-hop’s most iconic records and remixed them with the genre’s most recognisable tracks.

Forget Gary Lineker and embrace your inner Westwood, because here’s what would happen if Premier League managers made rap albums.

Jose - The Blueprint

Having laid down the blueprint to Premier League success in his previous stint at Chelsea, the ruler is officially back after last season – and he’s set to complete a takeover.

Pards - Nothing Was The Same

Renegade Pardew creates headlines whenever he steps out onto the touchline or into a press room. With his cockney crew in tow, Newcastle's manager is usually on his worst behaviour.

The Notorious Moyes - Ready To Die

Heartbroken Moyes may have cleaned out his office and walked away from Manchester but his notorious season with United won’t be forgotten.

18 Years - Get Rich Or Die Tryin'

After years of austerity, Arsene has preened open the purse in the last two summer's to land a season-changing signing. 18 years into his reign, Wenger is still in da club.

Brendan, the Creator - Rodgers

Rodgers shook up the table last season, nearly scoring a number one spot with his efforts at Liverpool. Having got rid of his own Count of Transylvania, will we (and Stevie G) have to endure their title hopes slipping away once again as everything all falls down?

Manuel Pellegrini - good kid, m.A.A.n city

In a m.A.A.d city like Manchester, it takes a good kid to earn the title of the don but in one season Manuel Pellegrini did just that. The 60-year-old Chilean is living by the mantra: sheikh your ass, but watch yourself.

Lou - illmatic

Manchester United’s new man, Louis Van Gaal, had a superb World Cup with Netherlands and the Red Devils are hoping the seasoned veteran is ready to carve his own legacy.
