The No. 5 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes have gone from National Championship contender to a bubble team in the matter of one practice session. We’re referring, of course, to the reported shoulder injury star quarterback, and pre-season Heisman Trophy favorite, Braxton Miller suffered yesterday in practice. Ohio State is trying to stay as mum on the topic as they can, which includes the school cancelling interviews today for the football team, but it’s reported that Miller reinjured his shoulder while throwing the ball on Monday, and it was not a contact injury. Miller was coming off surgery after injuring his shoulder during the first drive of last season’s Orange Bowl, and now the reigning two-time Big Ten offensive player of the year will reportedly undergo an MRI to learn his fate for this season and beyond. Cue the sad Urban Meyer memes.
