Last Thursday, Greg Oden was arrested following a violent dispute with an ex-girlfriend at his mother's home in Lawrence, Ind. When police arrived to the house, Oden's ex-girlfriend had blood on her, a swollen nose, and several cuts on her face. She was also "crying and lying across a bed holding her face." At the time, there were plenty of questions regarding how this all went down. Today, the Marion County, Ind. police released details of the altercation and they are pretty graphic.

The girlfriend told police she and Oden had been at a nightclub where she says he'd been drinking shots and beers ... and when they got home things turned violent.

According to the docs ... Oden grabbed her and shoved her onto the couch ... and then started throwing "closed fist" punches to her face. The woman says he hit her 3 times -- once in the left eye, once in the forehead, and once in the nose.

She says the shot to her forehead opened a gash from which she started bleeding -- and Greg stopped attacking once he saw the blood. The victim was hospitalized and had to get 3 stitches between her eyebrows, and suffered a broken nose.

The police report also reveals that a friend may have overheard a discussion about the ex-girlfriend cheating on the Miami Heat center prior to the altercation. Oden has been charged with one felony count of battery, in addition to two misdemeanor charges for domestic battery and battery resulting in bodily injury.
