LeBron James' return to Cleveland was an emotional one, especially with that Sports Illustrated essay. But the NBA is still a business. How much was James' contract worth?

Many would've understood if James went for a max contract, but his new deal with Cleveland is worth two years, $42.1 million.

This isn't about James thinking there's more to life than money; he's thinking about the future. The league's television contract is coming up in 2016, which will increase the value of players' max contracts. So this isn't a sign of a wavering commitment. James said he was planning on finishing his career in Cleveland, right?
