This 3,000-Horsepower Mustang Got Seriously Airborne

Add 3,000-horsepower to anything and – unsurprisingly – it will begin to adopt the characteristics of a rocket ship. Case in point, Dennis Bailey’s twin-turbocharged 3,000-hp Ford Mustang that went skyward back in 2010.

Both cars hooked-up well at the start, but Bailey’s Mustang caught just enough air to launch it vertically, and eventually over the barrier at South Georgia Motorsports Park. Bailey escaped with no injuries, the car…uh…didn’t.
