If you’re entering the burgeoning field of car thievery, you might want to at least know how to drive cars. Three teen car thieves in Seattle didn’t get that message, and were stumped by a car that you had to – gasp – shift yourself.
Nancy Fredrickson, 70, was getting something from the trunk of her Kia when the would-be carjackers held her at gunpoint and demanded her keys. The teens jumped in the car, but none could figure out that tricky stick with the five numbers on it. To her and her neighbors’ amusement, the trio soon gave up and ran away.
Luckily nothing was stolen, but we’re guessing that clutch just lost a year or two of life.
