Rolls-Royce has announced that it will soon begin selling cars in Cambodia. Paul Harris, the luxury automaker’s Asia-Pacific regional manager, confirmed that Rolls-Royce has signed an agreement with Cambodian business partner HGB Group Co. to open a brand new showroom next month in the country’s capital city of Phnom Penh.

It’s a positive global move for the brand, but one that’s left some scratching their heads. The average annual income per capita in Cambodia is around $2,600, which is less than one percent of the sticker price on the least expensive Rolls-Royce Wraith. The company expects encouraging sales from a small population of wealthy high-society living in the capital.
