Phil Jackson might be on the verge of making his first big trade as a part of the New York Knicks organization.

According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks are currently in talks to make a deal that would send Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton to the Mavs in exchange for Samuel Dalembert, Jose Calderón, and Shane Larkin (there's a chance that Wayne Ellington could be involved in the trade, too). Nothing has been finalized yet. But it sounds like this is more than just a loose idea that the two sides have floated out there:

Sources tell ESPN that Mavericks are in advanced talks on deal to complete trade that will bring Chandler and Raymond Felton to Dallas
Proposed deal would send two Mavs starters to Knicks -- Sam Dalembert and Jose Calderón -- as well as prized young guard Shane Larkin

Stay tuned to see if the deal goes through. If it does, who wins here?

UPDATE:

The Knicks might get more than just Dalembert, Calderón, and Larkin in the deal. Wayne Ellington is reportedly a part of the package that the Mavericks are offering. And the Knicks would also receive draft picks—yes, Knicks fans, DRAFT PICKS!—in exchange for Chandler and Felton:

In proposed deal, Dallas would send the Knicks its 2014 second round picks: Nos. 34 and 51, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
Wayne Ellington is part of proposed package of Calderon, Dalembert, Larkin to the Knicks, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

UPDATE 2:

The deal is done! Chandler and Felton for Dalembert, Calderon, Larkin, Ellington, and the 34th and 51st picks in the 2014 NBA Draft.
