C7 Corvette Buyers Like the Manual, Love the Z51 Package

It appears that Corvette buyers are auto enthusiasts of the highest order. This is not exactly surprising.

We drove the C7 Corvette with the spiffy new seven speed manual and the Z51 package, and we determined that it was very, very good. Other outlets did as well, and a large number of Corvette buyers appears to have take our advice.

40% of C7s have been sold with manual transmissions, which is way higher than the usual take-rate and 51% of C7s are equipped with the track focused Z51 package. Old school performance hasn't quite been eliminated by turbocharged I4s and paddle shifters (not that we have anything against turbo I4s and paddle shifters).
