It’s safe to say that Steve McQueen oozed “cool”, but cars like this beautiful 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 certainly didn’t hurt his image. And if you’re a big McQueen aficionado with big pockets, the ’67 will cross the auction block this summer at RM Auctions’ annual Monterey soirée.

McQueen bought the car new, chassis number 10621, and had it repainted from metallic gold to its current Ferrari red hue. It wasn’t his first 275 though. McQueen lifted the wheels from his wrecked 275 GTB NART Spider and had them fitted to this car, which complements a host of other custom mods ordered by McQueen, including a retractable radio antenna, rearview mirror, and seat upholstery. Scroll down for a look at that engine bay.

The ’67 will cross the block alongside a few other all-star Prancing Horses, including a 2006 Ferrari FXX Evoluzione and 1961 Ferrari 250 Spider. Break out the money rolls.
