Over the weekend, the St. Louis Rams selected Michael Sam in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft. And Sam created quite a bit of controversy on Twitter when he responded to the news about getting drafted by giving his boyfriend a kiss. The kiss was captured by ESPN's cameras and run over and over again on Saturday and Sunday and lots of people out there reacted very negatively to it. Even one NFL player took to Twitter to voice his displeasure with the kiss.

But the most ignorant reaction to Sam's kiss may have hit Twitter earlier this morning. Shortly after seeing the kiss on ESPN's SportsCenter today, former Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson took to his Twitter account to speak out against ESPN showing it. And his tweet was, well, ignorant to say the least:

Boycotting sportscenter til this michael sam nasty ass shit is off .... My brothers are 7 and 11 and saw that!!! #SICKENING

Henderson isn't a stranger to saying and doing some pretty outrageous things. But his tweet may go down as one of his most egregious outbursts of all time. And thankfully, people aren't reacting well to it on Twitter:

@NativeFlash22 wow dude...no respect for you at all.
@NativeFlash22 you are sickening
@NativeFlash22 @rockmnation The absolute worst. Would expect nothing less from him.

Yikes. Expect Henderson's tweet to be deleted in 3, 2, 1…

UPDATE 1:

After sending out his initial tweet, Henderson also sent out this:

Im sorry, but I DO NOT AGREE WHATSOEVER that should be shown to where innocent eyes can see!!!

But then, he threw out a curveball by claiming that his first tweet was a social experiment of sorts (riiiiight...) and sending out a series of tweets trying to explain himself:

POINT #3: Who is the worse person, me for what I said or any of the HUNDREDS who just cursed me?? LOL uh oh... #ThisIsFun
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR INPUT AND RESPONSES!!! MY NEXT TWEET IS REALLY GONNA THROW EVERYONE A CURVEBALL
One of my best friends, WHO IS GAY, is about to graduate in psychology, asked me to say these things so he can have responses ... TBC
The point of his study was to see how people react when others say things or act a certain way against another group of people ... TBC
He chose gays because of how he relates to it and has to live it EVERYDAY of his life ... He asked me because he knew I would get incredible
Feedback, and OMG how crazy you people are lol ... It is absolutely amazing to see what people have said, whether agreeing or disagreeing
As far as what I said, Totally was 100% for the project ... as far as my ACTUAL views - its irrelevant because its gonna happen regardless!
Sorry for messing with everyone like that!!! Everyone really helped my boy AND FOR THAT WE ARE EXTREMELY APPRECIATIVE!!!

UPDATE 2:

Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork responded to Henderson's tweets with two tweets of his own:

I'm extremely disappointed & we do not condone the statements made by our former bball player. We believe in respect & dignity for all......
We use significant resources to educate our student-athletes about respect & dignity for all people & unfortunately not everyone gets it....
