It might only be Tuesday, but we’ve got a throwback for you. Jay Leno welcomed his own mechanic’s 1991 Lamborghini Diablo onto his popular web series this week, and offers some insight into what was going on at Lamborghini when the ‘90s icon was built.

With no power steering, no traction control, and strictly rear-wheel drive (on the early models), the Diablo is one of the last classically unruly Lamborghinis to squeal out of dealerships. The car boasted 492-horsepower when new from the big 5.7L V12, but owner Franco Barbuscia has claimed to have extracted around 50hp more.

It still sounds better than many of the supercars we have today, even at a rather elderly 23 years old.
