Big engines and smoky burnouts might be the common denominator for auto enthusiasts, but we think well-executed car photography has wedged itself in there too. Take a look at these frigid images from Russian photographers Dmitry Chistoprudov and Nikolay Rykov. These haven’t been faked in any way.
The duo had the idea to backlight a car from underneath three-foot thick ice – no big deal, and that’s exactly what they did.
An ice-fishing auger was used to drill a hole through the dense ice before the slush was spooned out, allowing them enough room for their 1000Lm spotlight.
