Yesterday, a report surfaced that Vladimir Guerrero was going to sign a one-day contract with the Los Angeles Angels, so he can retire as a member of the organization. To commemorate the moment, the Angels asked Guerrero to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the team's season opener at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim to coach Don Baylor. Nobody could've foreseen what would happen next. As he went to trap Vlad's off-target throw, Baylor's leg buckled and he couldn't put any weight on his right leg. Eventually, we found out...

INJURY UPDATE - Don Baylor sustained a fractured right femur. The Halos batting coach will have surgery tomorrow.

What a start to the season.
