Getting into a car accident is never fun. But two female drivers went through hell yesterday afternoon after they were involved in a wreck that took place in La Canada Flintridge, Calif.

Fortunately, neither of the drivers was injured too badly in the accident itself. And neither of their cars were all that banged-up after the accident, either. But when the crash took place, one of their cars accidentally dislodged a bee hive from a tree. So when the two women—one 17-year-old woman and one 51-year-old woman—stepped out of their cars to exchange insurance information, they were immediately attacked by a huge swarm of bees. And the results were almost catastrophic. The 17-year-old sustained more than 100 bee stings a short time later, while the 51-year-old suffered more than 500 stings and was forced to jump into a nearby swimming pool to get the bees away from her.

And the bees didn't stop there. For the next several hours, they canvassed the neighborhood and attacked police who responded to the scene, people who dared to step outside of their homes, and even TV reporters who showed up to cover the accident. It made a relatively minor car crash much, much, much worse than it had to be.

Check out the clip above to see what the crazy scene was like. Thankfully, neither of the women involved in the crash suffered any life-threatening stings. But we can't even imagine what it must have been like to be on the receiving end of that attack.
