The latest entrant in this season of recalls is the 2014 Cadillac ELR, of which about 656 will need repairs following the discovery of a fault with the electronic stability control system. The system lacks a safeguard for alerting drivers that the ESC may be turned off.

Cadillac will recalibrate the electronic brake control module as part of the software fix for the ELR, and estimates that only about 55 of the 656 cars in question are already in the hands of owners.

There have been no injuries so far. Repairs are said to begin on April 17.  Cadillac joins Chevrolet, and the defunct Saturn and Pontiac brands in sweeping recalls under General Motors.
