Though this is not an official statement from his PR team, but it seems more sad news following Michael Schumacher’s tragic accident has been revealed. The F1 legend remains in a coma since late December, fighting for his life following an off-piste skiing accident in Meribel, France. Two weeks ago, doctors began attempts to lift Schumacher out of his medically induced state, but so far have had no luck.
A report from German source,Bild-Zeitung, has revealed that Schumacher has not yet responded to direct stimuli, but has displayed reflex twitches within the past week. In cases with patients facing similar injuries, those who remained in a comatose state for longer periods of time had a higher risk of suffering brain damage and altered personalities.
Despite this heartbreaking news, Bildreports that Corinna Schumacher continues to speak to the seven-time world champion at his bedside, in hopes that communication will aid in her husband’s recovery process.
