Earlier this week, Top Gear made famous this video of Polish hill-climb racing, and quickly we discovered a trend. This little red hatchback was putting everyone else to shame.

Driven beyond the limit by Rafal Pochlopien, this early-90’s Opel Astra GSi spent more time on three wheels than it did on four. Judging by the engine noise, it’s safe to say that Pochlopien kept his foot down for 99 percent of the run.

While there are no details regarding engine modifications, comments seem to suggest that he’s competing in a Group N “Showroom Class” for minimally modified vehicles. If this is true, Pochlopien is wringing-out every ounce of that 150 horsepower four-cylinder...and then some. Try watching this and not giggling to yourself.
