Occasionally you hear about some family that lost their cat only for it to return, like, three years later. A retired man in California had a similar thing happen, except with a car and a wait ten times as long. Ian "Skip" Wilson lost his 1957 Chevy Bel Air to thieves back in 1984. He thought it was long gone but just got a call from the cops saying they'd discovered his stolen car

The Bel Air was about to be shipped to a buyer in Australia, but the VIN came up as stolen. When Wilson rightfully claimed what was his, he got back a car in shape than he'd last seen it. His Bel Air had a new paint job, new chrome, and an upgraded engine. Karma must know to return things in as good or better condition than it got them.
