There’s only so much you can talk about while waiting for a storm to pass. This was obvious on Sunday afternoon, when Fox Sports ran out of talking points during the 2014 Daytona 500 rain delay, and decided to re-air 2013’s race.

The replay of last year’s race was obvious to the acute viewer, but most channel flippers didn’t catch-on. Upon conclusion of the replay, the masses took to Twitter to congratulate the presumed winner, Jimmie Johnson, on a picture-perfect repeat of last year’s win. Johnson responded via Twitter in hilarious fashion.

I hear I won the #Daytona500? Haha! I also have friends confused and texting congratulations to me. #2013Replay

But it wasn’t just fans that got caught in the mix-up. Fox News ran a story, moments after the end of the 2013 replay, announcing Jimmie Johnson as the winner. I mean, it’s not like they’re on the same network or anything…
