Back in October, Stephon Marbury agreed to spend three more seasons in the Chinese Basketball Association. Was money his motivation?
There's no way of knowing for sure. But according to TMZ, the 36-year-old former NBA star is being sued by a car dealer right now who claims that Marbury owes him about $35,000 in car payments. The dealer has filed a lawsuit that says that Marbury leased a $96,000 Land Rover from him back in 2007. However, he has reportedly failed to make any payments on the SUV since 2012.
Marbury is yet to respond to the lawsuit, so we're not sure why he's failed to make payments on the vehicle in more than a year. But we sincerely hope that he's not going to be the latest athlete to land on this list.
