Pope Francis has consistently made news for simply following the basic directives of his religion (love everybody, feed the hungry, clothe the poor, don't be a dick), but what you might not have known was that he currently owns a Harley/

Given his vow to drive "humble cars" he's now rolling in an old Renault jalopy and auctioning off his 2013 Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide and leather biker jacket. He was given the bike and jacket after blessing 35,000 Harley fans in the Vatican square during the brand's 110th anniversary. The jacket is a limited edition 110th anniversary commemorative jacket. Both the jacket and the gas tank of the bike have been signed by the Pontiff.

We think it's a shame that the pope didn't just commission some black leather robes and take to the streets in the thing, but c'est la vie.

It will be auctioned off next month in Paris by Bonham's and, of course, all proceeds will be donated to Caritas Roma, a group that runs a hostel and soup kitchen for the poor in Rome.
