The roller coaster ride of one J.R. Smith has more downs than ups. Smith got himself into even more trouble when he untied Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion's shoe during a break at the free-throw line. The NBA warned Smith about the incident according to sources, but there's no word of what the NBA said to Smith specifically.

New York Knicks coach Mike Woodson said he would give a talking to Smith:

None

Marion didn't seem to take it too serious:

None

Maybe J.R. should hold off on the antics for now because from a PR standpoint, Knicks fans are calling for his head with the team struggling throughout the early part of the NBA season. All he can do to recover is win because winning cures all.
