Back in mid-December, Derrick Rose reportedly told several confidantes that he was concerned about the Chicago Bullsentering a rebuilding period that he wants no part of. A couple weeks later, rumors are now swirling that D-Rose's worst fear is about to come true. According to Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News, the Bulls plan on not only dealing Luol Deng prior to the Feb. 20 trade deadline, but the team will also use their amnesty clause during the summer on Carlos Boozer, who is set to make $16.8 million next season.

Both moves are essentially being done to lessen their overall team salary. By using the amnesty on Boozer, the Bulls will waive the forward while preventing that $16.8 million from counting towards the salary cap or luxury tax. Meanwhile, dealing Deng is intended to get some sort of return on a guy they do not plan on resigning over the offseason for anywhere close to top dollar.

Rose has reportedly already been told of the Bulls' intentions and surprise, surprise, he isn't happy about it. And neither is head coach Tom Thibodeau. Things may get ugly internally very soon in Chicago.
