There are a lot of really weird traffic laws in America. Believe it or not, it's illegal to do things like screech your tires or drive a black car on a Sunday in certain parts of the country. But did you know that in at least one town, you're not even allowed to wash your car in your own driveway without being ticketed?!

A man from Garden City, N.Y. found that out the hard way last week when his neighbor decided to call the cops on him for washing a car in his driveway. Even though the car was on private property, Garden City doesn't allow residents to wash their cars in their driveways. So when the man prepared to start soaping up his ride, one of his neighbors notified the police and the police came and told him to stop what he was doing.

The cops who came to the home and threatened the man with a ticket were nice enough about the whole thing and didn't end up giving him a citation. But the man recorded the police talking to him about the possibility of him getting a ticket for, again, washing his car in his own driveway and the resulting video has, not surprisingly, gone viral. Check it out in the clip above.

Don't the cops in Garden City have better things to do than respond to "illegal" car washes? SMH. The neighbor who called them should be ashamed.
