The last time we posted something about Jose Canseco, it was because he was driving around with a couple of goats in his backseat. Now, it sounds like he's trying to get down with Longhorns. The Longhorns.

Yesterday morning, the former MLB slugger took to his Twitter account to express his condolences to Mack Brown, who is reportedly going to step down as the head football coach of the Texas Longhorns after 16 seasons with the team:

So sorry to hear about Mack Brown. hug for u buddy

But after doing so, Canseco also immediately lobbied for Brown's job:

Hey Steve @stevepatterson you need a huge name for huge job buddy. I know football even better than baseball.

And he also broke down his fool-proof plan for fixing the Texas program:

Hey Steve @stevepatterson Here is my plan to fix Texas football.

It included things like this, which deal with football:

First the lines are weak. It is our foundation and must be stronger. I know what to do. #Cansecohorns

As well as this:

Second what conference are we even in now? Just join the SEC already #Cansecohorns

And whatever this is:

Third why have we had all these 5'9 QBs with weak arms? Go get another Vince Young #Cansecohorns

And finally, this:

Forth hire the Baylor recruiting coach he is killing us. #Cansecohorns

And, well, what can we say? HIRE THIS MAN IMMEDIATELY! Hiring the Baylor "recruiting coach"? That's just genius! Then again, if Texas went ahead and hired the Baylor coach, would they need Canseco? Hmmm…It doesn't seem like he thought this plan all the way through. So for our money, the goats sound like better coaching candidates than Canseco.
