Could it have been avoided?

On Nov. 2, the Bucks' Larry Sanders was involved in an alleged fight at the bar Apartment 720. It is believed that in the midst of throwing punches and smashing bottles over people's heads, Sanders tore a ligament in his right thumb. Now, the guy who signed a lucrative four-year, $44 million contract extension over the summer will miss approximately six weeks after undergoing surgery on his thumb earlier today.

While the Bucks are definitely mad that they're going to miss their big man in the paint for the next month and a half, what probably infuriates them more is that this scenario could've been easily avoided.
