Late yesterday, we told you about how Deion Sanders was being accused of assaulting a man who works at his prep school in Fort Worth, Texas. Kevin Jefferson, who has now been identified as the chief financial officer of the Prime Prep Academy Charter School, claims that Sanders assaulted him during a recent faculty meeting.

"He just grabbed me by my throat and kind of threw me to the ground," Jefferson said. "Some people had to get him off of me."

Now, Sanders—who denies physically assaulting Jefferson—has been fired from the school in the aftermath of the altercation. That's right. Sanders was fired from his own school because of what took place.

"Effective immediately, Deion Sanders is no longer an employee or representative for Prime Prep Academy," the school's Superintendent Rachel M. King-Sanders said in a statement released a short time ago. "Prime Prep is committed to continually improving as an educational institution and it will continue to strive for excellence in every aspect."

For the school to react to the incident so quickly, Sanders must have done something really crazy. But it sounds like he's not going to go down without a fight. Er, a fight that doesn't involve assaulting anyone in the process:

Watch God work! What the devil meant for evil God will turn it around. The fight for right has just began. #kids1st Stay tuned

But for now, he'll no longer be a part of the school that he helped build.
