I have a confession to make: I don't hate Skip Bayless. I don't always agree with what he says—and I've definitely had more than enough of him talking about Tim Tebow—but, in general, I respect what he does and appreciate that he keeps doing it in spite of the fact that just about everyone out there hates him for it. He keeps on showing up on ESPN's First Take, and there's something to be said for that.

With that in mind, I enjoyed the feature that the Washington Post just did on Bayless—or "the most hated man in sports" as they call him. It doesn't get too deep into his back story or his life outside of First Take. But that's mostly because it doesn't seem like Bayless has much of a life outside of First Take. That's the way he likes it.

There is one pretty interesting tidbit about Bayless in the feature, though. Writer Rick Maese got Bayless to open up about the first and only time that he got drunk (Bayless was raised by alcoholic parents and has been very vocal about how much he dislikes alcohol). That one and only time took place back in 1977 when Bayless was interviewing Joe Namath, who helped pick Bayless up off the floor after he had two glasses of red wine during the interview.

You can check out the entire Washington Post feature on Bayless over here. If nothing else, it might make you hate Skip Bayless a little bit less moving forward. Er, maybe.
