There's Going to Be a 1,000 HP Hyundai Genesis at SEMA

It's like a low-rent Veyron.

It's easy to forget the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. It's not a bad car, and we can't really fault you for buying one, but it's not superlative. This is a Genesis that you won't be forgetting. Hyundai and Bisimoto Engineering have designed this concept for "the reliability of a street car but with the outrageous power of a no-holds-barred racer."

The engine is actually still the Genesis Coupe's 3.8L V6 but with a pair of Bisimoto/Turbonetics turbochargers a dual RG45 wastegate and a ton of other upgrades, so that the thing functions more like an engine and less like a bomb. The final result is going to be a scrotum shrivelling 1,000 horsepower.

To reduce the chances of firey death, the car will also be equipped with a roll cage, new suspension, new anti-roll bars, 20" aluminum wheels, racing seats and harnesses, a new dash, and a dry cell battery.

We'll have to wait until SEMA for more information on this insane vehicle.
