Drunk driving is just one of those things that's never cool, in any context. People conjure up so many lame excuses about why they drive drunk: they're only buzzed; they live close by; they've done it so many times and have never been busted. And you know what? None of them are valid. The craziest thing people don't realize is that getting pulled over is actually the best thing that can happen to them if they drive drunk. How can that be, you ask? Well, consider the alternative: someone gets killed. Sounds farfetched? Well, it happens nearly 10,000 times every year. As summer winds down, law enforcement authorities are gearing up to lay a big smackdown on drunk driving. So when you head for a night on the town, just be aware that the po-po are also going to be out in droves, looking for drivers under the influence. And unlike drunk drivers, they're dead sober. So, rest assured: if you're driving drunk, they'll definitely spot you before you spot them.
