It may be laughable to see a Mini on here, but hear us out. This camper has a bed and a little kitchenette. You're not going to do any deep exploring with it, granted. But it's a place to snooze comfortably.

We can't front like these are always the most pragmatic vehicles. But with seating for nine and a 320hp V8 engine, there's nobody or nothing you can't take camping. Sleeping bags, grille, hiking sticks, fishing poles, you name it. It'll fit.

It's hard to beat the AWD systems Subaru offers. You may not want an SUV or a truck, but still desire the great outdoors. The Outback allows for just that. Plus, it's long enough for you to sleep in.

Toyota's tagline for the FJ is "Call it street cred. Minus the street." That may sound a little cheesy, but we can't argue against the FJs prowess off of cement. And we're not just talking about dirt and rocks. This baby can get through 28 inches of water.

The highlight of the summer for my high school friends and I is our annual camping trip. Three of those friends own 4Runners, which speaks to its camping status. You know it's 4WD is reliable, considering "4" is in the name. It's also spacious enough to get all your gear up the mountain and double as a sleeping space, if you're not the type to pitch a tent.

We never would have guessed you could turn a Jeep Wrangler-not the most spacious vehicle-into a legitimate camper. But where there's a customizer with a will, there's a way. A stock Wrangler is also highly suitable for camping. You can't go number two in it-well you can, technically, but we wouldn't suggest it-but it'll tackle the terrain you need to cover in order to get to your beloved campsite.

This thing could get you through the zombie apocalypse, so three days in the mountains is cake. For an admitedly hefty fee, Sportsmobile will hook you up with a badass Ford E350 with upgraded axles, a higher clearance, and a menacing bumper and sports rack.
