Nobody seems to have anything good to say about the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, and many Americans don't even seem to know that Mitsubishi still sells cars in the US, or even has continued existing. But now that Americans have purchased 100,000 electric cars, the honor of the 100,000th EV sold in the US of A goes to Mitsubishi.

Out of those red, white, and blue (But not British, or French, or Australian, or Chilean, or Cambodian, or Icelandic, or...) EVs not many were Mitsus. At the end of May 2013, the number of i-MiEVs sold in this country was only 1,511, and given the rate of sale, we'd guess that the current number is somewhere just South of 1,600.
