The Chevrolet team wanted to make the best Corvette ever without losing its identity. How do you do that? Aside from sculpting an attractively hyperfit body, you introduce brand new elements and take everything you already had and make it better. With the C7, GM wanted to make a lighter car that produced more power, handled better, had more premium elements and could still get great gas mileage on top of that. Claiming that the new Stingray is basically three cars built into one (a GT car, a cruiser and a track car), Chevy added things like a Drive Mode Selector, an electronically controlled slip-differential, and a lighter aluminum frame. Find out what other technology is in the new car with 10 Tech Innovations in the C7 Corvette Explained.
