The New York Yankees are really old this year. Really, reallllllllllllly old. How old? So old that The New Yorker just ran a cover that features Alex Rodriguez sitting in a wheelchair, Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter using walkers, and Ichiro Suzuki standing with some assistance from a cane. Damn, that's old.

"I'm not a Yankees fan per se," cover artist Mark Ulriksen says, "but I'm a New Yorker at heart, and I can say the Yankees are sure old and beat up."

You can say that again. Just look at the cover! The Bronx Bombers open up their 2013 MLB season today against the Red Sox.
