Swedish Scientists Have Figured Out a Way to Extract Hydrogen Fuel From Trash

Good news for those of us betting on hydrogen.

One of the largest barriers between us and a hydrogen economy is how energy intensive it is to make hydrogen fuel. In the spirit of multi-bird killing without the use of more than one clast, Swedish researchers from Lund University have figured out how to extract hydrogen gas from trash, which is about as cheap as a resource can get.

Trash ash is placed in an oxygen free environment and sprayed with water, at which point it releases hydrogen gas.
