GM just filed for a trademark on "Chevelle" once more. Seeing as the filing will require a Statement of Use in the next three years, this means that there is going to be some sort of car called "Chevelle" in the next three years.

One theory is that the Code 130R concept that is set to become the new Camaro and the current Camaro will turn into the Chevelle, but we think that would be marketing suicide. Camaro fans are way to proud of their cars to deal with a drop down to the level of the Scion FR-S. Alternatively, and much more plausibly, in our opinion, is that the Chevy SS name hasn't been going down too well with customers, and the company is going to make the big V8 sedan into a new Chevelle.
