Josh Smith Is "Highly Unlikely" to Sign a New Deal With the Atlanta Hawks After This Season

Who wants him?

The Atlanta Hawks are probably going to wish that they had traded Josh Smith before the NBA trade deadline when the offseason rolls around. Because, according to a source close to Smith, it is "highly unlikely" that the free-agent-to-be will resign with the Hawks in the offseason. No word on where he'd like to play. But, he's looking for a max contract worth about $94 million over five years, which will definitely make things interesting in the offseason. Guess we'll just have to wait and see who's willing to pony up that kind of cash for him outside the Atlanta area.
