Because having free access to the HOV lanes without a passenger wasn't enough of a perk for Southern California electric car owners, LAX had been, up until now, offering free parking. We all know that airport parking can be ridiculously expensive, so this seems like a rather extreme perk. IN the interest of fairness, LAX has decided to stop giving electric car owners a freebie, and to gouge everybody equally; that's what America is really about.
