At 30, Devin Hester still has a lot of life left in his NFL career. But, according to him, his football life might be coming to an end soon. Very soon.

Upset with the direction the Bears are heading in, he came out yesterday and revealed that he's going to seriously consider retiring from the NFL during the offseason. He's apparently not happy that the Bears just fired their head coach Lovie Smith after a 10-6 season, so he's going to think long and hard about returning to Chicago next summer.

"I don't even know if I want to play again," he said. "That's been something on my mind for two years. It's not [much fun for me anymore]. I've got my workers comp papers in my pocket. We'll see how I feel. I'm going to go home and talk to my wife and talk to my family and see where we go from there. I got two beautiful kids, man, two boys. A lot of stress has been on my mind lately."

So, is Hester really going to retire? We doubt it. He's still got one year left on his contract and, if he retired, he'd be leaving a lot of money on the table. But, he could potentially be playing in a new city next season. Stay tuned.
