Terry Bradshaw came under a ton of fire on Sunday night after he made a comment about Reggie Bush that was perceived as racist during the FOX NFL Sunday show. And, rightfully so. While FOX ran a highlight of Bush rushing for a touchdown against the Colts, Bradshaw said that it looked "like he was chasing a bucket of chicken." Pretty crazy, huh?

So, Bradshaw attempted to clarify his statement yesterday after the shit hit the fan. He said that he was simply making an inside joke about chicken that made his comment sound racist when it really wasn't intended to be that way at all. He also said that his fellow commentator Jimmy Johnson orders a big bucket of KFC after every FOX NFL Sunday show that "he won't share it with anybody." So, when he made a reference to the chicken, he said that he was actually talking about Johnson and not Bush.

For what it's worth, Johnson also chimed in on Twitter and backed up everything that Bradshaw said in his explanation of the incident.

For all those "chicken" comments..TB kids ME about how much I like chicken.. He was referring to me!
I eat 4 pieces of fried chicken every Sunday on our set..only problem now is my wife knows..so Im in trouble
Terry Bradshaw was referring to me about "chicken"..I eat 4 pieces on the set every Sunday! Now I'm in trouble with my wife

So, there you have it. This was all one big misunderstanding. Er, we think. Either way, Bradshaw also issued an apology just to be on the safe side.

"I'm so sorry if I hurt anybody," he said, "and I'm shocked I'm in this position."
